Eligibility
WHO IS A CERTIFIED PRACTISING PROFESSIONAL?
A Certified Practising Professional (CPP) is an individual who has been certified by the Certified Institute of Practising Professionals as:
1. Having the necessary knowledge, skills, educational qualifications and/or experience that are essential for dealing with today’s greater complexity in their chosen professions
2. Having the required knowledge or involved in acquiring the knowledge essential for formulating and implementing efficient and effective strategies in their professions and in their environment, and
3. Having the desire to pursue excellence and do more for their profession and for the community
Members of the Certified Institute of Practising Professionals are also encouraged to:
Be dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in their professions
Maintain high standards of professional conduct and ethics
Be involved in studying the essential skills for dealing with changes in their professions and for formulating and implementing strategies necessary for managing environmental complexity
Be involved in community activities at home and/or abroad
Be involved in promoting and supporting projects (including research studies) that can be of significant interest to the community
Be involved in additional rigorous training necessary for progressing beyond being an Associate Member or Member to being an Associate Fellow / Fellow member of the CIPP
Eligibility for Membership Rankings
RANKINGS, MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE
Certified Student Affiliate Member - Must be engaged in studying at a Certificate level or higher, with or without work experience.
Certified Associate Member - Certificate and 2 years of work experience in your profession.
Certified Member - Diploma and 3 years of work experience in your profession.
Certified Associate Fellow - Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of work experience in your profession.
Certified Fellow - Master’s degree and 6 years of work experience in your profession. Plus, you must have passed at a graduate or undergraduate level, one of the following courses dealing with: (1) Organizational Change and Development and (2) Strategic Planning.
Certified Distinguished Fellow - Doctorate / PhD degree; 7 years of work experience in your profession. Plus, you must have passed at a graduate or undergraduate level, two of the following courses dealing with: (1) Organizational Change and Development and (2) Strategic Planning.
